Bonding can change the shape, shade or length of your teeth using a composite resin which can be completed in one visit.   Bonding can close gaps, widen and lengthen teeth and replace tooth structure lost due to chipping, traumatic injury or grinding.

Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain that are custom made to change your tooth's shape, shade or length.   The process generally involves two visits and while not as conservative a method as bonding, can provide a more durable restoration.

Whitening is a quick easy way to lighten and brighten your smile.

At Home :   Custom trays are fabricated for use 1 hour a day for 10-14 days and then 1-2 days every 6-12 months to maintain what was initially achieved.

In Office : This 1 ½ hour procedure will jump start the whitening process for you. This is followed up by the use of custom trays for approximately 3 more days.   Later, touch up at home 1-2 days every 6-12 months is used to maintain what was initially achieved.

Invisalign is an innovative concept in the field of orthodontics.   A series of clear plastic "aligners" are custom made and worn 24 hours a day (minus mealtime) instead of traditional metal braces to rotate and straighten misaligned teeth to improve function and appearance.

Restorative Dentistry

Fillings - composite resin (tooth colored) or silver (amalgam) fillings are used to restore teeth with small to moderate size cavities.

Inlays/Onlays (Porcelain or Gold) - laboratory fabricated cementable restorations are used to restore teeth with larger missing portions.

Crowns (Porcelain, Porcelain Fused to Gold, Full Cast Gold)-laboratory fabricated cementable restorations that provide full coronal coverage for the tooth.   Crowns are necessary when a substantial amount of tooth structure is missing secondary to decay or traumatic injury.

Bridges -when one or more teeth are missing, bridges can be used to replace the missing tooth or teeth.   Similar to crowns, bridges are laboratory fabricated cementable restorations.

Implants -an alternative method for replacing missing teeth is to place a titanium implant in the bone. The implant is used as an anchor to retain a crown, a bridge, or a removable dental prosthesis.

Removable Partial and Complete Dentures - Missing teeth can also be replaced using a removable prosthesis called a denture.   The denture can be made to look like natural teeth and is removed daily to achieve excellent dental hygiene.

Root Canal Therapy -is necessary when the nerve is dying or dead.   Nerve death can be caused by decay, trauma or infection.

Preventive Dentistry

Our primary goal is to achieve optimal oral health and preservation of your natural dentition.   Our main focus therefore is on the prevention and treatment of dental disease.   Education and reinforcement of proper oral hygiene techniques as well as periodic professional maintenance and examination are paramount in achieving your dental health goals.

Mara Goldstein, RDH and Jenna Smith, RDH are our registered dental hygienists.

Your initial oral hygiene visit will consist of the following:

  • Review of your medical history
  • Diagnostic series of xrays
  • Extraoral head and neck cancer exam
  • Intraoral cancer exam
  • Periodontal probing to determine gingival (gum) health
  • Tooth by tooth examination for caries, excessive wear and stability
  • Evaluation and recommendation of appropriate gingival treatment and care
  • Use of an intraoral camera for educational purposes

We will attempt to complete your gingival treatment by removal of all hard and soft deposits as well as stain removal and polishing.   Depending on individual needs, you may be asked to return for a second session.

Most importantly, Mara or Jenna will review the proper techniques, to maintain oral health.   You will be provided with necessary ancillary home care devices for daily maintenance.

Upon completion of this visit(s), a recare schedule will be determined. We urge you to prebook your next appointment to insure a timely and convenient date.

Night guards are worn to prevent excessive wear of the enamel of teeth caused by grinding the upper and lower teeth together, also called bruxism. Learn More
